March 27, 2009 - We have some good news from Tallahassee to pass on to you this morning. Yesterday afternoon the House Military Affairs Committee passed by a unanimous vote of 14 to zero our “All or None” bill. The bill must get through two more committees before going to the House floor and we will continue to monitor its progress, but so far so good. Thanks to all of you who took the time to send e-mails to the Chairperson of the Military Affairs committee. Also thanks to the volunteers from Tierra Verde who have put so much time and effort into this bill’s life. The Pinellas County Local Delegation, made up of four (4) local area State Senators and eight (8) local area State Representatives, met January 22, 2009 to discuss and act upon our proposed 'All-Or-Nothing' bill. We are pleased to announce that this group of elected officials voted unanimously to support the proposed bill when the full Legislature meets in Tallahassee in March, 2009. Although this is only the first of many hurdles needed to have the bill become law in Florida, it is a positive indication for the residents and property owners of Tierra Verde.
